Immigration Law All of the immigration law forms to be discussed were formulated by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. They are the federal government agency that will be in receipt, and will review all applications and other immigration legal forms submitted. If you are unsure as to what any of the related immigration forms that you are going to need to obtain, complete, and submit, it is always wise to ask an immigration attorney or other immigration law professional. If there is a further need to have someone assist you in the completion of an of the documentation, it is also wise to consult with the services of those individuals, as well.
One of the immigration law forms that qualifying applicants complete to submit with their immigration matters is the “Notice of Entry or Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative.” This form is completed by those ho agree to provide legal counsel for a client with their immigration matter. This type of immigration law form is submitted on a similar basis to when the tax return papers ask for the signature of the preparer. As the form reads, it is not only an immigration attorney that may represent you in the matter on your behalf. There are others that also meet the qualifications of serving as your representative. Some of the people that meet those terms are certain social service workers, religious workers, or charitable workers. It is a three page form, and there is no charge for this particular form submission.
Another immigration law form that people will request is the “Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act Request.” There are certain components that are featured within this law that people may want to gain further knowledge on. This Act was signed into federal legislation in 1966. This law gives federal government agencies the permission to disclose to you previous unreleased information or documents. This law was designed in order to keep the people abreast of what is going on within the United States government and the important debates and decisions that they make that come to directly effect the people. Although there is some government information that is to be kept only in house for privacy purposes, there are documents that will be disclosed to the public in order not to encourage any secret, deceiving, unfavorable behavior going on by those who have legislative power.
There is an immigration law form called the “Affidavit of Support” form. This form is to be completed by those who would like to sponsor an immigrant. The immigration laws permit certain sponsorships in order to allow people to enter the United States, but this is one of the forms that have to be completed in order to apply for this type of residency. With that being said, the proper application has to be filled out in order to have this immigration form be substantiated for review. There is also the “Immigrant Petition for Alien Work” form. Just like some of the other forms, this is a form that may be filled out electronically on line. This immigration law form serves as a petition for an immigrant to earn permanent residency in the United States, on the basis of work.
There is a form called the “Application for Advance Permission to Return to Unrelinquished Domicile.” There are some instances in which people have come to establish legal residency in the United States, then come to leave the country for a significant length of time. The immigration laws may permit their re-entry to the country by reinstating the previous valid residency that they were able to acquire, or may decide to reinstate the individual with a new residency. Then there may be terms within the immigration laws in which the current circumstances of the individual and the immigration laws will not permit their re-entry at this time. No matter what is decided, ultimately, the “Application for Advance Permission to Return to Unrelinquished Domicile” form may be recommended by an immigrant legal professional to be submitted.
The “Application for Advance Permission to Enter as a Non-Immigrant” is a form that is completed when a former United States immigrant is looking to enter the country on a temporary basis, without establishing legal residential status in the country. There are times when people no longer qualify by way of the immigration laws to enter the country under those terms, but would still like to enter the country on a temporary basis. This is not a form to be completed by those who already have established currently active legal immigrant status in the country.
The “Application for Waiver of Passport and/or Visa” is completed by those who would like to re-enter the United States without a passport or visa. This form is exclusive to those who have established active legal residency already. This is one of the immigration law forms that has an associated charge with its filing. This is a form that is usually completed that for whatever reason, the individual does not have current possession of their passport or visa. In the “Application for Waiver of Passport and/or Visa” form, one of the fields asks an applicant to explain why he or she is not currently in possession of his or her passport or visa.
The “Application for Removal” is a request to be removed from the United States. This form has a specified scenario in order to be eligible for completion. The form is intended for those who have come to reach a point of “distress” during their time in the United States, and would like to return back to their country. With that being said, they do not have the finances to return on their own, and they are asking that the United States government assist them in funding their return. Some of the things that will be asked in the application is if there is anyone else that depends on you for support. If there is, you are to list those individuals. Another thing that is asked is whether or not you have received financial assistance from a charitable organization. There is no filing fee for the “Application for Removal”.
One of the immigration law forms that people will fill out is the “Application for Permission to Reapply for Admission into the United States After Deportation or Removal.” There are times when people violate the immigration laws or other federal laws of the United States, and this, in turn, causes them to be deported. There are instances in which they also have to be removed voluntarily or involuntary. If it is the desire of the person to come back to the United States, before they may even fill out a green card visa application, they are to first submit the “Application for Permission to Reapply for Admission into the United States After Deportation or Removal” form. With this form, one of the things that you are to submit is documentation surrounding your deportation or removal. There are usually time limits that you have to be out of the country in order to apply for permission to reapply. The range, depending on the explanation for deportation or removal is one year to five years. There is also a fee that is associated with submitting this form.
There is an immigration law form called the “Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status”. There is a fee that is associated with this application that is currently one of the larger filing fees that a person will take on. Those that are 79 years of age or older will not be charged what is called a “biometrics fee,” so therefore, a small portion of the filing fee will be waived for those individuals. There is also a filing fee reduction for those who are under the age of 14, and are filing with at least one parent. The application fee is waived for those that have been admitted to the United States as a refugee. There are a number of documents that you are to present along with your application. There are special instructions that you may obtain that were formulated by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services that you may get along with this and all the other applications.
